men and women over 60 years old and show the wisdom and experiences of our seniors.
Our culture is overly focused on youthfulness.
But with age comes perspective, wisdom, and character that sometimes gets missed even by our well-intentioned loved ones.

If so, you are eligible to participate in this project!
We want to celebrate you:
Where you've been, what you've gone through, challenges you've overcome, what your dreams and passions are, what your hobbies or interests are, the live you've lived...what makes you...YOU.

We want to capture YOUR story!
Come to our beautiful studio and let us pamper you with your own professional Portrait Shoot that includes a video interview of YOU telling some of YOUR STORY in a short interview.

A note from Dee:
"I created this project because of an idea I had after my Grandfather passed away. First, I wished I could have given him, in his final years, a nursing home with days full of his favorite things to do - checking on a field, checking on farm animals, talking with the guys over coffee, etc. - a real "Farmer's Nursing Home".
BUT - I also wished I would have sat down and interviewed him and asked him questions about HIS LIFE. I wished I would have created a scrapbook or a compilation of his answers somehow and in so doing really showed him that his life had meaning.
That his life had value.
I did sit with him and video recorded a few questions of his time in World War 2 and it is so deeply moving to watch. I only wish I would have done the same with questions about his childhood, his teenage years, his young adult years newly married to my grandmother, his years as a father, then grandpa, then great-grandpa. And then...I wish I would have done the same with my other grandparents I no longer have.
I believe I had that idea for a reason - and the reason was to give people a feeling of VALUE." Dee

When you come back to the studio for your Photo Viewing appointment, You quickly see we are not a "hard sell". You only buy what you love!
After the session fee, Photos start at $150 each, with Photo Collections ranging from $400 to $2200. All photos purchased include the high resolution Digital Image for your use for years to come!

More Details...

Must book and complete your photo shoot between 06/15/2021 and 06/30/22.

Payment of $500 (+ tax) must be made in order to hold your booking spot; payment is non-refundable. Only one reschedule allowed, we want to be respectful of others in the People of Iowa Legacy Project!

Must participate in Pre-Shoot Consultation either via phone, in-person, or video chat.

Must participate in Photo Shoot and Interview.

Must sign photo release for Exhibition & marketing (Photographer and you will decide which photo(s) and/or video(s) you are comfortable releasing, must release at least one photo. Photographer and you will decide what interview questions/answers you are comfortable releasing; must release 3 answers minimum).

Must participate in Photo Reveal Appointment to view final portraits, either in-person or via video (no online galleries available).

Additional photos will be available for purchase at your Photo Reveal Appointment, only one photo is provided complimentary; no additional purchase is required. You will have the opportunity to purchase more photos from your shoot, subject to studio pricelist at time of order.

Tickets for exhibition are not redeemable for cash. Photographer has no liability if you are unable to attend exhibition. Exhibition may be video recorded. Exhibition to be held late 2022 (details will be provided when available); if unable to hold exhibition magazine will be created and participants will receive one copy in lieu of tickets to exhibition.
